Dr. Nyote J. Calixte is a collaborative and intuitive scientific professor leveraging extensive understanding of Analytical Chemistry, Cancer Genomics, DNA Sequencing devices for precision oncology applications, Curriculum Design and Instruction, and Biomedical Research. Dr. Calixte is a published scientist and international patented inventor.Dr. Calixte has had unique opportunities to hone and perfect the technical and scientific acumen, strong communication skills, and creativity necessary for advancing the organizational goals required for roles in industry, health technology, and Pharma. Her background includes 9 years of expertise in higher education, demonstrating her aptitude for not only teaching, conducting scientific presentations, and training sessions, but also her ability to effectively communicate complex scientific information to both technical and non-technical audiences.Dr. Calixte holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Louisiana State University. As a proud Xavier University of Louisiana Alum, Dr. Calixte is a champion of HBCU education where she was a Chemistry (B.S.) major, mathematics minor, and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.As an avid science enthusiast, Dr. Calixte has a deep passion for broadening science literacy within the Black community and enjoys speaking to the public about engagement within the sciences.
